As I look ahead to the upcoming year, I wonder what will unfold for me. Do you read your horoscope to see what the stars have in store for you? Horoscopes and signs have made their way into jewelry designs over the years.

In the 1960s and 1970s, when everyone dating would ask, “What’s your sign?” the influence of celestial branding was not lost on costume jewelry. From necklaces to rings, signs of Western astrology conveyed “suitability” for possible mates and identified one’s associated sign personality to those who believed in it.
